Night weaning 14 month old advice

Ive cut down day time breast feeds to 2-3 times a day. The plan is to stop breastfeeding . Night time feeds are difficult to cut out so I'm planning to go cold turkey for the night feeds and offer cuddles and back rub. Im just worried he might be hungry . I can't imagine him going the whole night (11-12 hours ) with no milk. He's won't drink cows milk or even My expressed milk in a cup. Would offering him water be okay or should I offer bum something more filling like a fruit or yogurt pouch ?
Also for anyone that has done night weaning from breast or bottle how many days did it take and what was the experience like

DS was FF by that age but we just made the bottle smaller and smaller. We took it slow and reduced by 30ml/1oz every 4-5 days. It was actually really easy until we got down to 60ml/2oz (he was on 210ml/7oz). I suspect he didn’t really need the milk in the night but he had always been fed to sleep so it was a bit of a habit and difficult to totally drop. In the end we completely stopped it when we also moved his bedtime bottle away from bedtime so he wasn’t fed to sleep then either. That took 3 nights so not too bad.

I wouldn’t offer a pouch. Assuming he has no medical conditions and is healthy he is perfectly fine to go 12hrs. You can offer water though. If you reduce the length of the feed bit by but then he will also have the opportunity to build the number of calories he has in the day to compensate.

Thank you I will start reducing night feeds before completing stopping maybe it will make it easier . And no he has no medical conditions and eats alot during the day , I also suspect he's drinking milk for comfort to fall back asleep because he doesn't really drink alot before he dozes off again
