4 month sleep regression at 3 months?

Just wondering if anyone has been through this as early as 3 months? My LB is 14 weeks on Thursday (he was 3 months old last Friday). When I've googled it, it seems he has all the signs of it but I also know they go through a growth spurt about now.

He can only nap between 30-45 minutes in the day, last night he slept 8:30 till midnight then woke every 1-2 hours or so. I checked his nappy /offered my boob, some wake ups he took it and did a mini feed other he just used me as a dummy. Before this he would wake once for a big feed at 3am.

I do generally nurse him to sleep and I'm in the process of changing his bedtime routine so his feed isn't last thing, just wondering if it's time to start the full sleep training with him to learn to self soothe!?

Too little to sleep train 😔 LO only little.

Your in same boat I was, faith destiny is great anf I'm sure she will give you some great tips.

I would say dummy and watch wake times as maybe overtired?

My DS started the regression at 16 weeks. Never napped longer than 45 mins and woke every 45 mins at night for 8 weeks then suddenly started sleeping through. DD started at 13 weeks, exactly the same but lasted 5 weeks. Sadly still waiting for her to sleep through! She’s 10mo now!
It’s so so brutal and I remember being in tears about it multiple times as I was exhausted. It will get better, they’re too little for sleep training at that age IMO.

14 weeks is spot-on for the start of this regression. It's as they leave the Forth Trimster, and you'll remember from pregnancy that each trimester is 13-14 weeks.

In terms of sleep training - assuming you are aiming for baby to sleep independently then not feeding to sleep becomes increasingly important. The gentle way to achieve that is by introducing a dummy.
