11 month old NAP problems!

Hi!

My 11 month old is a fab sleeper, she sleeps mostly without issues 6.30pm til 7.30pm in her cot at home, self soothes and if I'm at home for the day, she goes down for 2 naps quite happily in her cot, roughly 2.5 hours after waking and then around 3 hours after this. Both naps are around 1-1.5 hours long. Sometimes longer if she's more tired but rarely shorter.

However, she can't sleep anywhere else and it's making life really difficult as bedtime is a struggle if she hasn't had her PM nap. I usually prioritise the morning nap and make sure she has it at home.

Travel cot at my mums house, she absolutely hates and just screams whenever she's put in there, even if wer in the room, it's like she knows what wer planning! She did sleep in it once but only while I was also sleeping in the room.

The pram is a bigger problem! Until around 2 months ago she would sleep in the pram or car without much assistance, but she absolutely resists it now! I've got a snooze shade but she will pull at it, kick it and try and get it off, basically whenever she sees it she goes crazy and tries to get it off the pram lol. That's with it open BTW I rarely even manage to get it closed. I use a mini version of our routine before pram nap time but I'd say 90% of the time it doesn't work. She then won't nap on the way home in the car either and we end up having a very sad overtired girl at bedtime.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated x

Just to add she gets so tired in the pram, gets into the zone like almost about to fall asleep but nearly every time she stops herself!

Might need to just wait until she drops to one nap, seems like she knows what she needs to sleep!

This is a short phase while having two naps a day. Very soon (relatively speaking) she will drop to one nap. Like the above poster, unless you have to get her sleeping elsewhere (ie because you work), then the best plan is just to wait it out until dropped to one nap. Then fill your mornings with lots of activities, and be at home for the nap in the afternoon.
