It's getting hot!

Hi! FTM here, first time I've dealt with baby and heat!

I'm just a little worried, so I've checked and it's currently 26 degrees in my LO room, I put him down to sleep over an hour ago in a sleeveless bodysuit (no legs) and the plan was when I go to feed him (so now) I'd stick him in a sleep suit. BUT the temperature hasn't dropped and I've just checked his back and he is still warmer than usual, my worry is if I put him in it now he'll be way too hot now and if I don't put him in it then he might get cold in the early hours of the morning... what the hell do I do?!

I've had a look online and it says bodysuit and a 0.5 tog sleeping bag but I don't have one of those, also it won't stay the same temp all night (well I hope not!) I've got a light baby wool blanket that he loves, it's not heavy but would that do with the body suit? I know he's not going to freeze to death but I don't want him to be uncomfortable either.

Any suggestions are welcome 😊

I would leave him as he is for now, and if he gets cold in the night he will wake up and let you know. Better a baby that gets a bit chilly than a baby that overheats, because the former will tell you somethings wrong, but the latter might not.

How old is baby? I would say it's too hot for a sleep suit at all in this weather. I would sleep mine in a short sleeved vest and a 1.0 tog bag in this weather or a blanket. Like previous person said you are better a baby waking you up because they are chilly!
