My 3.5 year old son still co sleeping (I'm expecting 01/2022) I don't know how sleep arrangement will be by the time my baby is here. I've tried to get him to sleep in his room but it didn't work.

It is quite reasonable to have a "family bed" and make it work with both children in with you. Is that what you mean?

Well I was thinking more of getting my little one to sleep in his room so when the baby is here the baby will sleep in our room (me and partner) so my life one doesn't get woke up by the crying baby at night

3.5 year old DD1 was still co sleeping with us when DD2 was born ( DD2 is in a crib not our bed) DD1 slept through the crying mostly or would only stir slightly and not really be disturbed. But after a couple of months DD1 decided she wanted to sleep in her room, she will wander through in the night sometimes still but not often.

Oh ok so I guess I will go with the flow and not worry about it then.
