Can you recommend a sleep consultant in London?

We are at the end of our tether. Our 15 month old used to be a good sleeper but over the past 2 months she has got worse and worse. We have tried controlled crying, pick-up/put-down, co-sleeping. Nothing is helping. I need an expert to sit down, hear about our particular situation, and give me advice.

Has anyone used a sleep consultant (either over the phone or face to face)?

Yes, we used Andrea Grace and she was very good, cracked our problem v quickly without us needing to resort to CC which for us (dd was 6months) seemed too harsh.. Her website is www.andreagrace.co.uk, she's got a book out as well.

There are other options though, have heard about an NHS sleep clinic, maybe someone else knows about that?

Do you think it's teeth artichoke? If you've tried all the techniques I can't imagine what a sleep consultant would be able to do because it implys it's not a sleep problem iyswim. (I thought they pretty much did CC anyway) My DD is cutting a molar and it has been going on for weeks. Honestly it's a nightmare but the corner is now popping through. She has been waking really frequently, screaming her head off and generally being a total whinge bag during the day. She's 14 months.

Thanks for the Andrea Grace suggestion. A friend used her too so I will call her tomorrow.

It might be teething Ninja. She has a bump on one of her gums at the back of her mouth. Since we have seen that we have quite any attempt at CC and concentrated on co-sleeping.

I need help though. I am so tired. I have been low-level ill for weeks and can't shake it. I am starting to feel desperate and even a bit depressed. I just need DD to sleep at night and in my wildest dreams I would also like her to have a proper nap in the day.

It's not quite what you're after, but "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child", by Dr Marc Weissbluth is a really good book. He's studied sleep patterns in thousands of children and is a practising paediatrician.

I haven't personally used them, but this place does telephone consulting. www.naturallynurturing.co.uk
