Sleep training - baby cries at last feed

harsharan · 22/04/2021 19:51

My baby is great at sleep but when I offer the last feed which is in her room, she cries and only calms down when I take her to my room which is dark but then she falls asleep while drinking milk.

How can I avoid this?

I try to leave 3 hours gap, it's almost like she needs to calm to have the last feed

How old is she?
Is her room dark aswell?
Has she only been moved to her room recently?
Does she nap in her room ok?

What is the problem with feeding her in your room and letting her fall asleep? If she sleeps through the night or only wakes once it sounds like it is working well?

FATEdestiny · 23/04/2021 17:01

As PP said, I'm not grasping what the problem is here. Why can't you feed her in your room?

PinkCookie11 · 23/04/2021 18:34

If she’s sleeping in your room then makes sense to feed her in your room.

Nowisthemonthofmaying · 23/04/2021 18:37

Just feed her in your room! Feeding to sleep is how babies are designed, I don't see the problem if she falls asleep on the boob? 4 months is way too early for sleep training anyway...

Is the crying caused by the delay to giving the feed? Is she waking and then you are taking to another room rather than feeding her immediately when she has woken up hungry?
