She'll nap anywhere but not in her cot ! Do you have any tips?

Don’t stress about the cot and just make sure she gets enough good naps elsewhere in the day.

At 4 month old baby has to sleep in the same room as you. Why do you want to sit in a dark room?

Park yourself on the sofa with a box set on the TV. Put baby in a bouncy chair at your feet and use your foot to bounce bounce bounce non-stop.

Napping anywhere is a win, just roll with it.

Does it matter? Chances are if you keep trying you'll waste months and jot succeed. So save yourself the stress and let her nap where she likes?

I just think itd be great for her to have some stucture to her days. She sleeps amazing at night and i thought it would be good for her to get some good , restorative rest during the day

I preferred mine to nap in the buggy (on walks) or in the bouncer in the living room. I dont want to sit in my bedroom all nap.

She can have a routine and restorative sleep anywhere though, cot isn’t necessary.

She sounds like my DD. At 4 months I could only get her to sleep in pram or car. I was just pleased she napped at all because before this she would hardly ever nap and was exhausted and sad. She slept well at night though. At around 6/7 months I had had enough of taking her out in the pram three times a day and did sleep training with her (sleep sense program). It worked really well and after day 2 there was no crying at all. She took to it so well and had much longer naps then in her buggy. It also meant when we went out in the buggy it could be for fun rather than trying to get her to nap. It is so child dependent though. I think I just luckily did the training when she was ready.

Routine ✔ Yes Structure ✔ Yes Plenty if sleep ✔ Yes High Quality sleep ✔ Yes

Cot? ❌ No, not necessary for the above

Are you getting plenty of high quality sleep with cot naps? No? Maybe you'll get more sleep, better sleep and better routine and structure to your day if you try naps in something that moves (like a bouncer Or pram).
