Hi, usual routine is that at 7.15 take my dd up to bed, she sits on my lap and has last bottle of day and falls asleep on my lap and I put her in her cot. However, last few nights she has fought sitting on my lap to have the bottle so last night I put her in her cot with the bottle and she fell asleep. Can you please advise if any of you do this and is it ok to give her a bottle in the cot.

Do you mean, leave her with it on her own until she falls asleep?

If so, then I personally wouldn't just in case she chokes but if you are willing to stay in the room with her while she drinks it and falls asleep then, I would give it to her.

i used to, but i used to prop em on a pillow, let them drink the bottle - take the bottle and pillow away.

dd2 has a bottle in her cot but i'm always in the room with her or in the next room.

be careful..leaving them to fall asleep with a bottle can lead to tooth decay! ( I work in a dentist's) However I also tend to do the same, even though I know the risks

my dt's didn't have teeth til they were 17 months, by which point we gave up bottles
