Anyone got a Snuzpod 4? Can I ask a stupid question?

Why does it need to be attached to the bed? I mean with the straps as opposed to just pushed next to it.

Baby (newborn) can’t roll out even when the side is down as there is a wall.

It’s so that it doesn’t shift away from the bed to leave a gap the baby could fall down. If that’s not possible in your set up then it’s probably not needed.

But that’s what I mean- you can’t have a gap for the baby to fall down as there is still an edge to where the baby sleeps. It’s not like a cosleeper that’s flush with the mattress where obviously it would be dangerous to have a gap.

They have to make things to set agreed standards for safety, the wall is likely too low to meet the required standard for a ‘stand alone cot’ so they have to provide and advise the use of straps.

I didn’t strap the chicco to our bed, we have carpet and it just didn’t move.

Does anyone specifically have the new Snuzpod 4 and know what I mean about the baby still being ‘down’ in the crib?

It’s just a PITA not being able to make the bed properly when I can’t see any way she could get out of it. It weighs a ton anyway and is on carpet. Obviously it would be different with an older baby.

You don’t need to specifically have the snuzpod, they all have that flap now.. as I said, standards.

I’m not talking about the flap
