Night nappies

Hi all. For the past few days our son has been sleeping a full 10-12 hours at night and when it is the morning his vest and pyjamas are soaking wet when getting him dressed. He is usually in Pampers Baby-Dry Pants at night and takes two sippy cups of water to bed with him (this stops waking up in middle of night). We've tried putting a bigger size nappy on for night time and putting a cheaper nappy (Sainsbury's own brand) on him in between post-bathtime dressing and bedtime, at which point Pampers would go on, and tonight we tried Huggies Dry Nites (3-5yo size) and it resulted in waking up soaking wet - at first it was a wet bedsheet and sleeping bag from a leaking cup but when I removed the sleeping bag his sleepsuit, PJs and vest were soaking too from the Dry Nite. When putting his nappy on his willy is definitely pointing down. Can anyone help please. Son is nearly 18mo btw.

PS. He is in size 5 nappies in the daytime so using size 6 at night.

I would recommend using Rascal and Friends nappies. Tesco sell them. They are the best nappies we have tried and the only which my twins don’t leak through at night. Nappy is always on for at least 12 hours. They have water/milk at bedtime but nothing in the night.

They are in size 5 day and night. Size 6 of R and F would be way too big so you could always try size 5.

If you use a vest with poppers, then maybe try the next size up. If the vest is too tight, the nappy can’t expand fully.

I’ve also seen other people recommend putting two nappies on or trying a nappy back to front, though I have never tried this.

I would also perhaps consider reducing slightly the amount of water in the sippy cup and see if that helps.

Another recommendation for rascal and friends. They are expensive but tesco often have them on offer for half price etc so I always stock up then. ALso as the above poster said, make sure if he is wearing a vest it is not too tight.

Muumi Baby Eco nappies size 5 from Amazon. We discovered these when my DD was 16months and have been using them ever since. x
