8 week old sleep! Linking day naps?

Hello everyone

My lovely girl is sleeping well at night and clearly linking sleep cycles, and can go down awake but drowsy during the day. The thing is, she rarely sleeps more than 45 minutes at a time. Occasionally she will sleep for an hour or two, so I know it can be done!

I am just looking for some advice: should I go in and let her wake up when she awakes? Or should I go in and rock her, put her back down? This doesn't always work though, she tends to cry as soon as she's put down mid way through her nap time and can't resettle herself. Should i rock her till she is asleep? I have a 20 month old at home too so I can't really be in the room rocking her for too long, so often end up popping her in the sling and she falls fast asleep. So I guess she is still tired?

She's feeding roughly every 3 hours, awake time of max an hour, I swaddle her, sleeping roughly 8pm-7amwith probably one or two wake ups - so I know things are great so far and feel so lucky! But I just genuinely have no idea what the best course of action would be! Sometimes she seems super wide awake so of course I let her get up, but sometimes she doesn't stop yawning so I let her doze back off in my arms.

I expect the general response to be to go with my instincts but if anyone has any advice please do let me know! I know her ability to transition through sleep cycles as she gets older..! My older daughter was quite a bad daytime sleeper till at least 6 months, so just trying to do anything I can to help at this stage! My husband is back to work tomorrow and I'm just worrying about trying to do everything!

Thanks in advance 😊
