Well here I am again...! Just wondering if anyone else has managed to help their 22 month old sleep past 4:50am?! That seems to be the magic time for us. It's getting pretty exhausting and nothing will persuade him to go back to sleep.
I'm wondering if there is something wrong with our schedule?
He wakes around 4:50 and we just have quiet time upstairs, books or just laying down in bed, I repeatedly tell him it's night time and we need to sleep. We don't go downstairs until 6ish.
Breakfast at 7.
Lunch at 11:30 and afternoon nap at 12.
He tends to nap for 1.5 hours, sometimes 2.
Dinner at 5
Bathtime @ 6:15 and in bed by 7.
He always gets a trip outside in the fresh air each day, maybe to the park, beach or walking the dog in a nature reserve. He doesn't go to nursery as my husband and I do the childcare between us. We play with him, he does painting, colouring or plays in the garden. He watches about 2 hours of TV over the course of the day generally when I need to do chores.
We don't have TV on past 5pm.
I've tried leaving him in the morning but he is stubborn and doesn't stop shouting 'Mum' for 1 hour, he doesn't give up.
He's not cold at that time, his room is 20 degrees.
Anyone got any pearls of wisdom or suggestions please?!
Thank you
