I can’t google this because all answers are general and my baby is not fitting into any sleep logic patterns 😂

She is 4 months old and breastfed and definitely going through some sort of sleep regression in the night, normally white noise will get her back to sleep if not hungry and I’m just about managing with all this, what I can’t understand is her nap struggles.

She goes down for morning and lunchtime nap like and absolute dream but not afternoon... oh no she’ll fall asleep and then scream when I put her down, I’ll try leaving her for a bit and she’ll talk to herself and be wide awake, I’ll pick her up she’ll drift of, I put her down and wide awake I’ve left her babbling to herself for an hour once with white noise (I’m in room chilling on my bed) and she will not fall asleep. We follow exactly the same routine for all the naps and I’ve tried before she gets tired and when she is tired even again when she’s over tired and nothing... please help

Not much help but my (BF) daughter only ever really slept on me or fell asleep in the car. Tbh she fell asleep in the day when tired or when out so didn't really have a nap routine. You might just find she doesn't need that nap, or maybe take her out for a walk in the afternoon and see if she falls asleep.

I think it’s quite normal for the last nap of the day to be tricky. My DD is 7m and sleeps well for her first two naps in the cot. However, I always take my DD out in the pram, or if it’s really raining/we’ve been out, then in the car, for her last nap. Sometimes if she’s really tired she’ll fall asleep feeding and nap in my arms for half an hour instead, which is nice. If I were you, I wouldn’t bother with the cot for the last nap if it’s difficult as she will drop it soon enough anyway - it’s really the first two that are good to have nailed in the cot. I’ve seen lots of sleep routines/advice (eg. Little Ones) to say that 80% or so of naps should be in the cot excluding the last nap of the day, so I do actually think this is pretty normal!
