Move naps into own room or not?

My DD is not quite at the stage just yet but will almost be getting ready to start sleeping in her own bedroom at night.
I was just wondering, do people also tend to move daytime naps into own room as well at this stage?
At the moment she sleeps downstairs in a travel cot during the day, but I am noticing she is getting more aware of her surroundings and more responsive to noises disturbing her daytime sleep.
Also, can I ask if you do put your baby to sleep in their night time bed during the day, do you keep the room light still or dark like at night time (eg, blackout blind, door shut)?

I put my son in his own room for naps before I did at night time. I had a video monitor so I was comfortable that I could watch him etc and see/hear him wake up.

I did keep the room as dark as possible - blackout blinds etc but we had an old house with creaky doors so it was closed but not pulled all the way shut if you get my drift!

I do one nap in the cot, room dark etc then the other 1 or 2 on the move.

The baby advice books say to nap them in the cot but we are out so much and I don’t want her to get used to only sleeping in a dark room and not being able to sleep in her car seat / pram / sling etc

@ShirleyPhallus this is my worry also, that she will start to struggle to sleep anywhere else if she is having all naps in once place. We don’t have a strict daytime routine, I just try and get her down for a nap when I think she needs it, however she does tend to sleep for the longest time over lunch, so perhaps I’ll do as you do and try only putting her in her bedroom for that one nap :)
