@Victorialisa thank I know they are the main things deffo x
I'm lucky to have my mam coming over during the day so that I can get a few hours here and there. I'm going to start the tummy massages and leg cycling. He's been on infacol now for the past 2 days and last night and today he does seem a little better so I'm hoping it's helping.
I think he's also got reflux, gulping etc throughout the day. I'm so frightened to but him down on his back through fear of him chocking as he goes red in the face 😢 x
Aww, yeah it's definitely nice to have support. My mum lives 45 mins away and works alot but has her overnight once every 3 weeks so me and my partner can have date night. It really helps and makes us better parents for it
Your lo is still only really young yet and at that stage my lgs silent reflux was awful.
Think colic comes with reflux but we have tried different things since then and we found gaviscon has helped.
She still suffers with it but it's definitely nowhere near as bad.
It's all trial and error and just say to yourself, look the next couple weeks may be hard but it's a phase and one day you'll wake up, your baby will start smiling at you and you will think, you know what, its a little better recently and it gets better and better after abit of time.
Try not to get to down with it, i know it's hard but i was really really anxious about it all at 6 weeks and looking back i wish i would of chilled abit, it's all working out alot better now.
In the meantime you could try
Colic - gripe water, carry on with infacol, tummy massage and leg cycling, pushing legs up towards belly to release gas, warm bath or colief ( you can get this on script as it costs a bomb) bit of a faff getting it in bottles 30 minutes before a feed but has good reviews
Reflux - gaviscon, reflux milk ( it can make them constipated though), carobel ( you can play around with the thickness so it suits your baby, burping baby in between and after feed, keeping baby upright for 20 ish minutes after feed, putting a towel under mattress, pram and changing mat. If none of that helps ask your doctor for a referel to a pedestrian so you can get better mexs like Omprzole.
Fingers crossed and remember it really does get better, it's just a phase and babies literally change overnight sometimes x
Ps- just realised how ling this post is lol
Oh well, it shows i care haa!
