Early wake up

My 7.5 month loves getting up at 5:30am which I find too early but I know for some it's not. I have brought a sleep training guide which says to stand outside his door and keep repeating 'it's sleep time now' I haven't tried this as I know it will get him too excited and he will think he is getting up.
So most days he just plays in his cot babbling to himself sometimes this can be for 10 mins sometimes an hour as soon as he cries I go too him.
I'm just wondering how I can get him to sleep past 5:30?
His routine is 2 x 1.5 hour naps in the day roughly 3 hours after he has been awake and then bedtime starts around half 6 and he is asleep by 6:45pm.

Have you got black out blinds?

I have blackout blinds & curtains his room is pitch black.
Should also say he doesn't have any night feed and even if I try and give a bottle at 5:30 he refuses it normally drinks it about 6:30.
Nappy is only ever wet.
He always seems tired when he wakes up normally he wakes once in the night for no more than 10 minutes.

My opinion is I wouldn't try and fight this, though I know early wake ups are hard. His routine sounds good for him and his age.
The only suggestion is you could slowly shift everything back a bit until bedtime is later so hopefully wake up time would be later too.
As he gets older and naps less he should sleep longer at night.
Also shortening the first nap can help.
But I think with a good sleeper like yours sometimes it's better to just accept it and try and adapt round it by looking after yourself and having early nights. Good luck.
