Toddlers waking to sleep on the floor

Morning all

We removed the side of my toddlers cot about a month ago, she is 2 and has been doing really well sleeping in the bed.

The past week or so I’ve been waking to find her asleep either on her floor, the landing or our bedroom floor. She hasn’t woken us up, I’ve woken for whatever reason and found her there this is usually between 1-5am . I always put her back into her bed which she goes and doesn’t seem to move again until she wakes up. Any ideas on how I can tackle this? Also any advice how we can get her to sleep past 6am? She has a black out blind already. Thanks

Not sure but in the meantime I think she needs a gate on her bedroom door.

I think this is just a phase but agree with putting a stair gate on the door. Also make sure the rest of the room is safe (drawers etc screwed to wall, no trailing cables). I think just pick her up and pop her back, she will soon get the hang of being in a bed!

And a GroClock is excellent for pushing wake ups later.

Our 2.5 year old was coming running into us during the night waking the whole house. We now have a stair gate on his door but up to now he's just stood shouting at it. Last night for the first night in months he slept through to 640 this morning... Please please please let that continue!!
We tried a gro clock but the blue light seemed to make him think it was time to get up at 2am so we have put it back in the wardrobe for now. In saying that though I think he's just a bit too young to understand the whole wait on the sun to come up. His cousin would probably use it and watch it carefully but then she can also buy and sell him with her speech and understanding.. She's been having conversations for a good year whereas ds is just started to say simple sentences and answer little questions. (There is only 6 weeks between them in age) so gro clock might work but it didn't for us. Ds also managed to get the sun up within 10 minutes of bedtime on the first night 😂😂

My 4 year old often chooses to sleep on the floor, especially on hot nights. I don’t see it as a problem.

It won't be for ever. They get used to sleeping in a bed.
