Not sure if this was the correct category to post in but here I am.

I've was prescribed mirtazapine in May for panic attacks, trouble sleeping and anxiety.

It works really well for me generally, the problem is I'm out of routine with my DD (aged 2.8) that instead of the 8 hours sleep in supposed to try and get with it I'm up after 5-6 hours and like a zombie for most of the day.

DDs bedtime has gotten later and later over this lockdown period, she now generally sleeps only 9 hours at night with a 10 hour sleep once a week (and a hour long nap daily at lunch). She only goes to sleep between 9:30-10pm now and is up for the day by 7am. I take my mirtazapine at 10pm, do house work/ life admin til 11, listen to audio book etc until midnight then get in bed and am usually asleep by 1am. If she wakes up earlier like this morning at 5:45am, I can generally get back to sleep but today I was just drifting off and and she was awake for the day Confused
Has anyone had any experience of this medication and how did you manage it with young children? I don't want to stop taking it as it is better than the alternative but I'm so groggy and drowsy after taking it and not getting enough sleep.
