Just chill baby sleep 0-5 months

Hey, has anyone else bought this and feel like their advice is a bit contradictory/hard to implement for an 8 week old?

Lullaby trust says baby should sleep in the same room as you until 6 months.
Just chill baby sleep 2 month suggested bedtime routine starts with a bath at 6pm and ends with them in bed by 7pm.
They also say they’re sleep should be in a blacked out room with white noise.
I understand the reasoning behind this, but is it just more or is this impossible to implement unless I have dinner at 5pm and go to sleep at 7pm myself. But then when am I supposed to see my husband or spend any time with him?
Has anyone successfully implemented a routine like this with an 8 week old?
What did you do?
Am I just missing something obvious/ over thinking it?

Ignore the just chill stuff it’s not based on any scientific research and if it’s going to impact negatively your life that much then it’s not worth it. Cuddle your baby as much as you can.

I would still do the bedtime routine, but end with putting baby to sleep wherever you use for daytime sleep downstairs. Then move baby upstairs to cot (with white noise and blackouts) at 11pm ish, doing a dream feed while you do it.

Out of interest, what's the rest of the routine supposed to be for an 8 week old?

Thank you @Lockdownseperation everyone seems to rave about how good they are but their methods and routines just don’t seem feasible to implement for an 8 week old. I’m sure they work just fine for a 6 month old, but it feel it’s just not realistic until babies are in their own room/ can be left to sleep on their own.

@FATEdestiny thank you yes that sounds sensible to me and in fact that’s what I thought they would be suggesting, but they just don’t seem to be, it’s just very odd.

Oh it’s nothing special, the kind of thing most people suggest for a bed time routine

Bath or wash, baby massage, getting dressed for Bed, song or story and cuddles, then feed then more cuddles and a story or song and then into bed.
