9 week old waking in night and taking hour-hour and half to settle back down

Until a few weeks back, she was waking in the night, having a bottle being burped, then going back down. Now, we're at the point where she wakes, and it's taking us an hour-an hour and a half to get her back to sleep, and then she generally wakes up again after an hour.

We're both exhausted and it's soul destroying. Takes about 20-30 mins to feed and change her if necessary. Then we try and keep her upright for 20-30 mins as she can tend to wake with trapped wind if we don't. She then either needs to be rocked back to sleep in my arms, then,if she doesn't wake up when I put her back, she'll sleep for maybe an hour then wake. She tends to wake with groaning noises, like she's trying to do a poo (but she's not) and if I breastfeed her,she tends to calm down.

Also when she wakes, you can tell she's overtired as her legs are going ten to the dozen moving like she has restless legs. We have to hold her arms and legs down to get her to drift off again. Then the whole cycle starts again.

Today we've given her some non dairy formula the doctor prescribed as she's showing some signs of cow's milk allergy but if anyone else could shed any light,I'd be really appreciative as I'm losing the will to live and I'm really concerned she's not getting enough sleep as she's not a great napper. She was sleeping in 4 hour stretches then going back down for about 2 after her bottle and I don't know what's changed.

Is she bottle fed? I'd suggest trying a dummy because it may well be the sucking reflex she is missing - sucking is natures way to sooth and calm baby to sleep.

Don't change her nappy in the night unless she has pooed. Wet nappies are best left until morning (nappies should hold 12h of wee and if it's not, then go up a nappy size).

With regards holding her upright, most babies would fall asleep during this (then you put down). Are you keeping her awake during the winding? Instead, just lie her on your shoulder and rub her back until you get a burp, rather than doing anything vigorous. She'll probably fall asleep there. Then master the art of putting down from her being on your shoulder, put dummy in as you lie her down so that she settles to sleep in the cot, not being rocked.
