Day time sleeps with baby number 2, dummy? Cot? Sling? Help!

My daughter is 11 weeks old. I also have a toddler. I am just finding it impossible to get baby to sleep in the day. I can't give loads of my time to getting her down in her cot because of my toddler, I am on my own with them both a lot. She sleeps so well at night atm, and seems to be able to self soothe back to sleep but in the day time she is so over stimulated and over tired all the time and it's a constant battle. I breast feed her, so she will often fall asleep feeding but I can't transfer her to cot or rocker without her waking and crying. But at night I can feed her to sleep and even if she wakes up during the transition she goes back off on her own. I am reluctant to use a dummy, I didn't with my first and I worry about her relying on it/needing it all the time. She doesn't need it for night time sleep and I wouldn't want her to start needing it. But if that's the only way to get her to settle in cot/pram then maybe I should try it? She will sleep well in the wrap sling, which is good for having both my hands etc but not sure if it's a good method really as she gets bigger? Any tips? Just feel completely stressed with it all every day, and can't seem to get a routine with two at all!!

Hi Op in the same position over here! 11 week old and a 2.5 year old. I'm on my own a lot as well. I've found naps quite stressful ( plus she doesn't sleep well at night at all!!) but we are in a loose routine now . So morning nap always in pram when we go out for a walk/to the park , lunchtime nap I try and fit in when toddler goes for a nap or is watching a film ( usually just sleeps on me) and late afternoon nap is pushed in pram in the kitchen while trying to prepare dinner 🙈 it's not ideal and I know baby could do with more than 3 naps at this age but it's hard to fit anymore in! Plus toddler gets far too much tv but I figure it's not for long... I hope! Personally I'd rather she slept in pram than cot as we will often be out and about with toddler and I'm lucky I can fit pram in the house ! Although if anyone has any top tips I'd love to hear them!!

Thanks @5ambreakfastclub - it's good to know I'm not the only one!! The pram used to be fine for her naps but lately she will just cry, but I guess a walk in a sling/carrier while toddler plays at the park might work. That sounds like a much better routine than I've got so well done!!! I'm going to try this week and hopefully will get more of a structure. And yes my toddler is watching far too much tv, but it's the only way and I feel it's only for a short while, and if it's what gets us through the day then that's ok!!

It's certainly not as easy to get baby to sleep in pram as it used to be , need to have continuous white noise on now! And if I even think about trying to stick her in the wrap sling all hell breaks loose 🤣 . I think once they can sit up more in the pram they sleep better in it? I sort of remember that from the first time!
I feel sorry for her as she doesn't get the naps she needs but I'm trying to be realistic , toddler DD is sooooooo loud that baby has no chance most of the time!
The late afternoon one is the worst , she's usually tired but super hard to get her to sleep and it's only for like 30 mins usually . Bedtimes are often fraught!!!
