Really need help. Trying to get ready for my first baby and I don't understand what I should put him in at night.
Any advice would be so very helpful. Thanks in advance.

I love the Groswaddle they worked very well for us :)

@mylittlesandwich if the OP doesn't want it please may I very sneakily jump in? It looks gorgeous and my first baby is due early October. I would of course cover postage and small charity donation?

Riotgirlxxx · 25/05/2020 21:59

I used a cellular blanket to do a light swaddle on both of mine just until they were big enough for a sleeping bag. At around that time they seemed to want more room to wriggle so it worked well.

Sleeping bags are fantastic, they just kick blankets off once they get bigger

@roarfeckingroar you would be very welcome, PM me your address and when I'm next out I'll pop it in the post. Don't bother about the postage but a wee donation to a charity would be lovely.

My DD despised being swaddled but loved her sleeping bag.

We affectionately nicknamed her slug as when she was around a year old she would crawl around the bedroom in it in the morning Grin

@savehalloween Ha, my DS is becoming quite good at moving round in his sleeping bag too. I love the slug! I often find he's turned 180 degrees in the night in his sleeping bag or crawled up to the furthest away corner of his cot.

@roarfeckingroar I still have it if you'd still find it useful.

Ibizababyy · 29/05/2020 21:58

You can get grosnugs which are sleeping bags that have the option to put their arms inside like a swaddle. Plus they are smaller than the standard sleeping bag so fitted our 7lb 8 baby from birth- got one from amazon on day 3 and he slept sooooo much better from then on without kicking blankets off etc. Means you disturb them less when putting back in bed after a feed too. They have 3 different togs for different weather too.
