Wetting the bed, awake, before sleeping

When I put my 3yr old to bed he stays awake for about 30 mins and in that time he takes off all his clothes and nappy and wets the bed. This is happening every night. He goes on the potty before bed and always goes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Is he daytime potty trained?

It sounds like he's doing it on purpose, I would guess for attention? To get you to come back upstairs.

In which case, I would change the sheets as quickly and with as little attention as possible. No talking, no eye contact just get in, change sheets, PJ's back on and put him in bed and leave.

I would also introduce a reward chart. For each night he keeps his nappy on, he gets a star, 5 stars he gets a prize. Or if you don't think he will understand that, go for a treat every morning (one chocolate button or one episode of his favourite show or something manageable). Also, lots and lots of praise and attention in the morning.

To speed up bed changes, make it in layers. Waterproof sheet/normal sheet/waterproof sheet/normal sheet etc. so you can just whip the top layer off and put him back to bed.

We have been toilet training during the day and he's been doing really well but this has been going on for weeks now

Could you try wrapping a strip of duct tape over the nappy waist so he can't get it off? Careful not to get his skin, obviously

Marks and Spencer have sleepsuits in that size, you could put it on backwards to prevent him being able to get to his nappy.

I still use popper vests on my 3.5 yo whose is still in cloth nappies.

It's an extra thing to deal with at change time and he'd rather not have one on but they keep the nappy in place so he's in them regularly including during the day.
