Tips to get newborn to sleep in crib

Hi

My baby is only 9 days old but doesn't seem to settle of a night in her next to me crib. We've tried to make it as cosy as possible for her even warning a hot water bottle up in there before putting her in it. She sleeps in the day time but for some reason won't stay and settle of a night and much prefers mummy cuddles.

Has anyone got any tips or is this something that will get better in the coming weeks? I appreciate she is only young so may struggle but I just wondered if this is normal and if I can sort this out in her earlier weeks?

If anyone can help much appreciated FTM! Just wanna do what's best for her.

Thanks :)

My baby didn't sleep in it until about 7 weeks. I think they are too big and open!

We just put the moses basket cot inside the next to me crib (like a replacement stand for it!) as he slept very well in the basket but i wanted to see him next to me.

Fine after this time! Swaddling (if you agree with it) or (safe for age) sleepsacks too rather than blankets x

The sleepyhead was a lifesaver for us! We didn’t get it until he was 3 weeks old but I wish I got it earlier.

For clarification, we used the sleepyhead for day time naps. At 9 days old our little one just slept next to me on the bed (between me and the next to me crib so he couldn’t fall off the bed). I don’t remember sleeping very much around that time so I feel your pain! Flowers

Thanks for your replies we have a sleepyhead but she seems to not wanna sleep in it at night! She will settle for a little while then that's it. I guess it's because she is still young, just need to keep putting her in it.

But from what you guys have said it's pretty normal I think I'm just over thinking it!
