Hey my baby has just finished a leap and has always slept a solid 12hrs in the evening. Last week or so he has been going down at his usual bedtime of 7/7:30pm and now wakes up around 3pm. I have left him to cry and comforted him but nothing works except giving him a bottle however I don’t want him to get used to this.
He wakes up at 6:00am regardless.
Any ideas to prevent this night time feed and why it’s suddenly happened? It did happen before when teething if I remember (his teeth have now cut through) but it didn’t usually last this long - help

Our little one always wants an extra night feed around teething (I think it's because he has less during the day because he is uncomfortable). He always goes back to normal once the tooth is through, so I just feed him. Personally I would say if he really is that hungry in the night just feed him, but focus on getting the food/milk down him during the day and then he shouldn't be hungry in the night!

There’s a sleep regression at 8 months and a lot of growing in preparation for moving. He probably needs the feed.
You wouldn’t want to have to wait if you were hungry or thirsty. Nothing after 7pm is a long time!

Yes I have always been shocked that he has slept through so early on but obviously pleased. Now it’s broken sleep it just takes a bit of getting to used to.
yes he hasn’t been eating as much during the day so that seems to make sense. Thank you lots for your advice and informing me it’s pretty normal
