Advice.. baby sleeping on his side

Hi,

My 5 month old baby previously slept through the night no problems.

We've had such a difficult few nights, he's uncomfortable in his sleeping bag (0-6 month size) seems to have outgrown it length ways, then he's started sleeping in his side

This is the most undisturbed sleep he's had in nights, he was previously thrashing his arms and legs and waking up crying.

I follow the safe sleep guidelines, sleeping bag, room temp, empty cot etc but he's currently snoring away on his side with a cellular blanket..

Is this safe? Has anyone had this with their DC?

He literally thrashed from midnight till 6am, so this newfound side sleeping seems to be amazing for him, but I can't relax as I'm so anxious (and overly tired so probably over thinking)

I found it really stressful when DD starts sleeping on her side (she now sleeps on her stomach). I think as long as they can push up and roll then I fine to leave them.

Maybe try again with a bigger size sleeping bag. I only say this because now DD is crawling she moves around the cot a lot at night and a blanket would get thrown off really quickly, with a sleeping bag you know they will stay warm at least and you won’t have to keep going in to put the blanket back on.

Ugh, so many typos. Sorry!
