Help -losing the plot

My DS is 2 months old and wakes immediately after being put down, especially in his cot at night.

He will be sound asleep on me for 20-30 mins before I try as he suffers from reflux, which he is treated for. This has often led to co-sleeping which I don't mind but I'd prefer him to use his cot.

When he's put down he starts flailing his arm as though he thinks he's falling, despite me keeping my hand on his stomach or hand under his head for a few minutes. He then starts grumbling and stretching lots and then he's awake. We have tried swaddling which has worked about 1/10 times.

I'm honestly losing the plot. I spend the night changing, feeding, settling then try him in his cot all for him to wake up- repeat. Before I know it he's then due another feed and I'm back to square one.

Any advice? I'm tired and desperate and will try anything haha.

My DD who is 4mo suffers from reflux and we had difficulty getting her down too. She got a bit better when we propped the head of her cot up and got her medication sorted out. What really made a difference was when we started sleeping her on her side and wedged her into her cot inbetween 2 rolled up pillows (positioned below her shoulders). We put off doing this for a while because I was terrified of SIDS but she seems to sleep a lot better this way. We also rub her back gently just after we put her down and this helps to settle her into the transition of going into her cot. I would recommend it but I know that it's not SIDS advice. Hope you're not too exhausted!

next to me and tilt it that coupled with meds changed everything for us! Also they do sleeping bags with poppers so you can keep arms in like swaddled but they cant unwrap themselves like with a blanket
