Sleep regression?

Just checking if I'm going mad, my baby (15 weeks) had been sleeping from around 9:30pm to 5:30am for roughly 3 weeks, I thought I'd cracked it and would like happily ever after...

For the last week he's been grumbling all night and waking for feeds every two hours, has this ever happened to anyone? Is it normal to seemingly sleep 8 hours and then regress again to two or three? Feel like I'm going a bit mad 😭

Sounds the normal Time where sleep starts to mature and there will be some unsettled nights/weeks. Some babies come out of it the other side, some will then need sleep support to help guide them out after a few weeks if it's still happening. I read some articles a sleep consultant did and she basically said she hates the word regression and babies aren't actually going backwards, their sleep is just maturing to a more adult like pattern. So think of it more positively if it helps haha, it did for me. They're now taking longer to hit deep sleep, so wake more easily through a sleep cycle. Mine lasted 3 weeks, then I did some sleep support. What helped is keeping to a routine for bedtime. If baby was sleeping through the night without feeds (which line was from about 10 weeks) then I wasn't offering a bottle when she woke in the night. You're the mum and only you know little one best. Good luck x

Op it's totally normal. There will typically be sleep regressions for the next few years as they go through various learning cycles etc some sleep through, some have more regressions than others, but it's normal. Speak to your HV/GP if you're really converned/need advice x
