White noise machines etc

Just looking for recommendations on white noise machines/sleep aids such as Ewan the sheep etc. Ideally I would like something that has a cry response as my daughter who is a shit sleeper also cries in her sleep and would like something to stave off her waking up fully to be comforted.

Many thanks

I tried loads and the best is a radio tuned to static on low volume. Just left on while they are falling asleep and asleep.

We have an Ollie the Owl with a cry sensor. It plays white noise or Brahms' lullaby with the sensor, although has rainfall and heartbeat sounds too. Plus a light. My DS has it hanging in his cot and likes to mess around and press all the buttons. I'm not sure how much it comforts him, as he hasn't had it long and is a year old, but we got it on the recommendation of friends whose baby has loved it since birth.

Look up Baby White noise on You Tube.

We have a My Hummy. Well worth the money in my opinion.

Whisbear worked perfectly for us, although I now use an app as sleep coach recommends constant white noise rather than intermittent.

We tried the sheep thing but it didnt help. Tried an app on my phone but it was too quiet. Ended up buying a white noise machine which has loads of different noises and is loud and continuous. We use a heavy rain noise and it helps me sleep too.

If she already responds well and you want one that goes off when she wakes, I'd also go for My Hummy.

A cheaper option is trying a YouTube clip first, then getting the sound sleeper app and a second/third hand device to play it from (Apple or Kindle). But it will either just keep playing unless you set a time for it to go off, and it won't come back on if they wake.

We bought an Avantek one from amazon. It's brilliant and has loads of different sounds

Thank you everyone, I am currently using YouTube for a gentle melody that plays for three hours, she's still a shit sleeper regardless but il try a white noise video ( hopefully ad free, do not fancy waking up suddenly to a 30 second Just Eat advert) or the radio ( anyone know what station the shipping forecast is on?) first before buying a machine, husband wants his iPad back over night lol

If you have an alexa use the sleep sounds app. It plays all night and has a large variety of sounds to aid sleep such as white noise, pink noise and rain storm. There is also a 10 hour long white noise video on YouTube which might be worth looking into.

Another one who has a myhummy. They are brilliant.

We have Ewan and he does the trick. The cry sensor lasts 4 hours I think, if baby hasn't stirred in 4 hours it switches itself off. My baby either sleeps through or wakes within 4 hour periods so not been an issue for us. Can choose 2 volumes and choose whether it lights up

Thanks guys, has anyone used these on older babies like a year old that's never slept properly in her life ?
