previously little one could self settle with dummy for naps and night sleep since she was 4/5 months old. She’s just turned 1. However the last 3/4 weeks she’s lost all ability to self settle. She does have a lot going on. She’s entered leap 8 but we’re a few days away from finishing. She has a cold. And I just returned back to work beginning of January. If we go anywhere near her cot to put her down she screams. If we rock her to sleep and put her in her cot she wakes after not long and cries until I hold her. She’s been sleeping in our bed every night. If my partner tries to settle her she will scream until I hold her or put her in our bed. In the day however she doesn’t seem fussed to be with me.
I don’t mind her being in our bed to get through this phase but just want to see if this is similar to anyone else’s little one. Or how I can help her to self settle again. I’ve probably created a bad habit cosleeping but when she was hysterical in her cot there was no other way to calm her down. When she sleeps in our bed my partner sleeps downstairs so we’ve found that a bit tough also. This is long so thanks if you read this all.

It's happening with my 1 year old as well. She's fine in naps but has been waking at night crying. I wouldn't carry on with the Co sleeping she'll start expecting it every night lol unless you're happy with it. I've just put a nightlight on in her room to see if it helps her because that's the only difference between day and night isn't it that she can see during the day but might be getting a bit anxious at night in the dark?
