Hi all, I'm a first time mom and baby due in 2 weeks. We have chicco next to me and just wondering what should the baby be sleeping in..vests, sleepsuits, blankets, sleepbags? Is it okay for babies to sleep with blankets? Bit clueless on this all so would really appreciate some advice. We live in small apartment and bedroom does get very cold!

Vest, sleepsuit and a blanket should be okay. Or have a look at baby sleeping bags. There's a handy guide on The Gro. Company website too.

I used grobags when ds was new born as i was worried about blankets being too warm or going over his face. It gives you guidance on what to dress them in for the temp of the room

Infact he still uses sleepbags now at 12 months, he wriggles to much for a blanket yet!

We used sleeping bags (still do at 18 months as he’s a wriggler!)

I also use this handy guide on gro bags website - it tells you what to put baby in and what tog sleeping bag dependent on room temp, baby weight and age - very handy in those first few months!

We had swaddle wraps, gro make one. But ds was too small for a grobag for a good few weeks, they also let them morro and that can startle them awake.
In hotter weather he went into the swaddle in a vest or just a nappy. He slept best swaddled until 5 months

Congratulations! I'm a FTM too and found initially blankets were really good as they were easy to put over DS after feeding him to sleep and putting in his crib. I could feed him in the sleeping bags as they were too cumbersome. However once he became more wriggly at around 3 weeks is preferred to zip him into bags as he kept kicking off the blankets.
We found the grosnugs were very tight on DS. The other bags you get sold in supermarkets and high streets were much better.
