HELP...7 month sleep regression?

Our little one struggled with the 4 month regression but eventually was doing pretty well....she has always only gone down off the boob but generally was going down and sleeping about 6 hours then waking for a feed and sleeping another 4 hours.... but she is just about to turn 7 months and things have gone crazy....she is near impossible to settle (literally taking hours) and once settled she will only sleep in her cot for about 15 minutes before waking up instantly screaming....it escalates so quickly if left that within a couple of minutes she’s worked up to the point of vomiting! The only way to keep her asleep is just to hold her all night! Has anyone else been through this or have any idea how long it will last....we’re both completely exhausted!

I might be wrong but I think your DD maybe going through separation anxiety as it usually starts around now, maybe that’s why she likes being held. Babies also get clingy when they are teething too so maybe worth trying calpol as well. Around this time there is a lot going on development wise so that will be effecting her sleep also ( this is all effecting my DD’s). It will pass just keep doing what you are doing for now. Maybe worth introducing a comforter if she hasn’t already got one if can help with separation anxiety.

Yeah definitely related to superstition anxiety. We're going through it here. Our 7 month old never cries but now if I leave the room he is inconsolable.

He's feeding more at night too. We co-sleep though so I don't really notice it as much as I would if he was in a cot to be settled.

Maybe try and stay near her as much as possible until it's over.

Playing peekaboo supposedly helps which I’ve been playing lots and telling where you are going even though they don’t understand yet is also supposed to help.
