Hi
My baby is 9 months old and had his last BF at 6pm. He is generally asleep by 615/30 (not through the night but that’s another story!!).,.and we struggle to keep him up later. however I go back to work soon and won’t finish until 6. Some nights I won’t get him until 620/30 so would like advice how to push bedtime back!? His dad will have him at home then so I don’t know if it’s just try and see when we need to! Currently he is teething and has a cold so getting to 6 is a struggle!!
Ideally I would like 7-7....he often is up by 630am too

Would it be possible to express and give him a bottle for the last feed? Then you're not rushing home to a grumpy overtired baby!

We haven’t ever pushed a bottle altho he has taken one now and again. Plus as he is 1 in March I’d have to stop bottles then anyway. Also I have had mastitis several times and I found expressing didn’t help this!!
In the last 2 weeks I’ve managed to stop milk during the day so he has it at 6pm though the night and before breakfast and my supply has been ok with this so I don’t want to start introducing expressing again. Sorry a bit waffley!!

No worries, just a thought. My daughter was the same. Never took a bottle then got to a similar age as yours and I thought meh why bother.

Does he have 2 naps still? Could try pushing naps back slowly by 15 mins a day, so he wakes up later in the day so bedtime is then later?

We have an early sleeper too ! I was just planning on waiting for the clocks to change! Though for a more helpful response, try and stretch 5 minutes every few days. Or a late nap in a sling around 4:30 ?
