Sleep when you're dead right??

My LO just turned 2 has never slept through and now I think she's taking the biscuit abit.

To sum up, when she was small her naps were 30 mins long twice a day and she woke 4-5 times a night.

Since being around 14months she naps for 2 hours at lunch time and then wakes 2-3 times a night.

It used to be that she was in bed by 8pm and we got up at 5am.

Now this is the part I can't cope with like I said she's just turned 2 her naps are now down to an hour and she isn't going to bed until 9:30pm and waking at 3am. We are currently downstairs watching frozen because I have lost all strength and sanity!!

I don't know if Christmas has messed everything up but I'm 4 months pregnant with my 2nd and I need help!!

Pleeeeease

My DD1 was like this. Some things we tried:

  • no nap. If she is sleeping for an hour then going to bed an hour and a half later, she is losing sleep overall.
  • No milk at night. Water only (removes incentive to be waking up for this).
  • Night time should be boring. Dim lights, no screens (I know this is hard), take back to bed with boring message (eg it’s bedtime, time to sleep). Do you have a Groclock to set so she knows it is night time? Can be a bit confusing this time of year when it’s so dark and no distinction between 3am and 7am!
  • Turns! We were both working so took it in turns to get up. This may be harder if your DH works but even then he should be doing weekends to give you a break.

I feel for you though, it is really hard.
