Help!

Hi all.

Sorry- this is quite long!
I have a wee girl who recently turned 1. She used to be a fab sleeper, she would go into her cot around 7pm awake but drowsy, cuddle in with her silky and get herself to sleep, and would then sleep through til 8-8:30. Only time she would ever wake was if unwell or teething.

However, since the week before she turned 1, she's been waking up inconsolable between 11 and 1, and it can sometimes take up to 3 hours to resettle her! She's seen the GP who's ruled out anything medical (I had wondered if she perhaps had an ear infection as she was pulling her ears a lot).

I'm starting to wonder if it's a sleep regression or maybe even separation anxiety. She won't settle for her dad, only me, despite us trying. I'm trying to avoid picking her up everytime she whinges, and trying to encourage her to self soothe but she just gets upset and ends up screaming.

She's recently transitioned to one long nap during the day, usually about 2 hours. She has plenty of awake time during the day and I start to calm things down around 30-45 mins before bedtime.

There haven't been any major changes to routine, she has recently started walking though so I did wonder if that may have something to do with it?

Any ideas/advice welcome! TIA!

Sounds like she maybe having a growth spurt if it’s nothing medical & has started walking recently.
Might be worth upping her solid foods (more carbs) and milk intake
Good luck hope this helps x
