Any suggestions to the above. DD will go in her cot asleep but then only sleeps for 30 mins each time. I have tried feeding her back to sleep but she doesnt seem tired until 2 hrs later.

This means that come the evening she is too tired and restless. During the evening will sleep for 1 hr and then wake back up and wont go back in her cot until 1 hr later where she will eventually sleep the rest of the night.
This means that during the day she only sleeps for 1 - 1 1/2 hrs and at night she'll fall asleep at 8 but then wake up at 9 and not go back in her cot asleep until 10.
Any ideas as to what I can do?

My son only slept for 3 lots of 30 minutes between about 3 and 6 months. You could set a timer by it. But at 6 months he started to do 2 hours in the morning and sometimes 30 mins to an hour in the pm too. This is also when he started sleeping through the night too. When I was talking to someone about this recently their theory was they used more calories as they were more mobile then and needed more rest! No idea if that is at all true but it means that just because this is your daughters pattern now it won't mean that its lasts forever

jane313 you have given me hope.
I do hope she sorts it out soon.

DS used to do this when he was tiny. But would only sleep for about 40 minutes in the day. I tried to make him stir at about 30 mins then he woud quickly go back to sleep and sleep for another 40 mins....
wonder if this would work for you - break her sleep cycle just before she is fully awake after 30 mins. Worth a ttry?
Not sure about the night time though

ill be giving that a go. How did you make her stir though? what did you do?
