Help with non sleeping 8 week old

I have an 8 week old DD who screams when put down in cot or pram. She falls asleep on the breast or after bottle and wakes 20 minutes later if I have put her down.
She will sleep on me but I am so tired i am worried something will happen so always put her back in her snuzpod. She will not have a dummy and just spits in out.
I think she needs a bedtime routine and I would appreciate any suggestions of help as I am exhausted and need to sleep for more than 20 mins at a time.

@carolina21 there is no need for you to be so nasty! Giving advice doesn’t have to be done in an unkind volatile way.
I agree that OP shouldn’t tilt babies mattress without seeking advice from HV or GP first to make sure baby actually has reflux however if baby does have reflux slightly tilting the mattress IS what they recommend to do. My dd is 9 months old and this was recommended in the hospital when she was tiny and again when we came home.

OP it’s worth seeing your doctor or health visitor to see if baby has reflux, it sounds possible to me and if so some medication might help but you need medical advice.
I introduced a bedtime routine around this age, nothing fancy and always only when dd was naturally getting ready to settle down for the night, if it wasn’t Bath night I’d give her a massage before changing her into bedtime clothes and then she would go downstairs for cuddles with her daddy before bed. At this age she went to bed about 10pm and that was fine we did everything to her own natural schedule and gradually she brought bedtime earlier and earlier herself.
Are you able to express milk? Will baby take a bottle? I’m thinking if someone else could step in for one night so you can catch up on some rest and feel refreshed. It doesn’t last forever their sleep does get better although many don’t sleep through the night until after 1 but many do all babies are different.
Also white noise saved my life at this age, it just soothed her instantly and often I’d play some white noise and pop her light projector on in my bedroom when it was dark and she’d lie in her crib just watching the lights and would eventually drop off to sleep. You just need to find what works for you both.
So many people will tell you to enjoy the cuddles because they soon don’t want cuddles with you but I understand it’s hard to enjoy them when your so tired and fear your going to drop the baby.
I hope you’ve got some advice from this thread and haven’t been upset my nasty unkind comments. Good luck!

@carolina21 the mattress shouldn't be tilted but the cot can be. The hospital where we had our baby had all of the cribs tilted. We have put a support under two of the legs of ours so baby is tilted but with straight firm back support - on HV's advice and following example of hospital. Should be angle of 35 degrees.

OP I hope you get sorted. When my 8 week old doesn't sleep I co sleep with her - but yes, look up how to do it safely on lullaby trust. Remember to wrap up warm yourself so you don't pull covers up over both of you. Good luck Thanks

These

These weren’t available 15 years ago when mine were little. However a towel worked just as well. The Americans have been using them for years, yet British parents aren’t told about this, or very rarely.

The muscle at the top of the stomach hasn’t closed yet and seeps acid back to the throat causing pain, it takes until the baby is around 6 months to close properly.

If the baby screams lying flat, then when calm you try to lie them flat again, and they scream - people mistake this as a spoilt baby rather than actual pain. Baby sleeps fine upright on parents shoulder or in a car seat or chair, because they aren’t getting acid burn.

@carolina21
You're calling us PP's idiots yet if you read my post it says the cot can be tilted. I never said the mattress.. who is the idiot now?
Also form a sentence. You make no sense.
