14 month old nap schedule - can I get it back?

It took me so long to get my little girl into a sleep routine, however at around 10 months old she finally settled into a routine of 2 x 1hour naps in the day with a 3 hour wake time. I went back to work when she turned one and it immediately fell apart.

Our weekly routine is messy, she is with my mother-in-law on Tuesdays, my mum on wednesdays and nursery on Thursdays. Monday and Fridays I take her to classes and she often falls asleep in the car so it's hard to practice sleep in her cot, the same happens on a weekend when we do family things.

Currently she is napping for maximum of 40 minutes on the three days I am at work which means she is really grizzly on an evening and when I've had days off and attempted to get her to sleep at home it feels impossible.

Does anyone have any tips on reestablishing a nap routine at this stage? and should she be down to one nap or should I keep persisting in the hope of getting back to 2 naps?

Mine went to one nap at 12/13 months, worked a lot better for us. I try and be home for nap time though as she sleeps better and I get to have a cuppa! Might take a while to get a routine but I’d say one long nap between 11.30-1.30. Some babies still have 2 naps at 15/16 months but mine never ever would now and she’s 15 months

Both mine stopped naps completely at 18 months so I would try for one.

I'll be honest with you - with the 4 different care arrangements you have, assume you don't stand a chance. It's difficult enough getting a rhythm going with one care giver, but with 4, the chances of it happening are remote. This isn't a criticism - it's just the way it is. Babies and toddlers are developing all the time - so expecting them to behave in the same way for months is unrealistic.

My DD dropped all day time naps at 15 months - both at home and at nursery. No one could get her to sleep during the day. She just didn't seem to need a nap. Was a bit of a pain, trying to get her home from nursery at 5.30 without her falling asleep in the car (10 min drive). Grizzly evenings at some point with toddlers is like baby colic - pretty much the norm. yes there will be babies and toddlers who nap and sleep on cue - most of us do not have that luxury.
Hang on in there - this too will pass in a few months

Thanks everyone - no offence taken, it's as I suspected. things have improved slightly on some days but no consistency so I'm just rolling with it until it all changes again 🤦‍♀️
