Really needing some advice as starting to be driven crazy by my little boys' sleep pattern! From 6 weeks old he would sleep 7pm- 7am. As soon as I started his routine, he slept. Naps have always been an issue. For the last month I've done nothing different but he is now waking every hour at night crying. He refuses to sleep during the day too. Sometimes only having one 30 minute nap. He is clearly shattered and I always put him down as soon as he starts getting tired, usually 2 hours after last nap/ waking for the day. However he just fights it. Crying it out doesn't work ( I was so anti it but I had to give it a go for my sanity). Rocking him doesn't work. He's just miserable. He's got 9 teeth and had his first 2 at 3 months. I give him calpol/nurofen if his teeth are bothering him but thats never caused him to wake up before. DH works ridiculous hours so I do all night times and mostly all day times too. I used to cope with him grotty in the day because I got a good sleep at night but now I don't even get that. Any ideas?

How many naps was he having?

Maybe he can stay awake longer than 2 hours now?

I know my DD at that age, now 14 months, could stay awake 3 hours between naps sometimes 4.5 hours between last nap and bedtime.

Teething, a late 6 month sleep regression? What about wonder week? Is he in one of those? They play havoc with my DD sleep patterns...Confused

Hang in there - it is a phase and will pass ThanksCake

My DD is 7 months and we've had similar. Most likely just a phase, as little help as that is!

What's currently working for us is a jellycat bunny - she clutches it and settles instantly. I know you're not supposed to leave teddies in cots until they're 1, but it's very hard to stay awake until I'd be able to remove it... So, not ideal, but it's certainly a help.
