HELP!!!!
So, my baby is now 6 months . Since the very beginning of her life she's been a nightmare baby. She will cry and whinge constantly, as soon as shes placed down no matter what mood she is in, she'll moan and whinge and goes into a cry in 0.2 seconds. She's always been impossible to get the sleep, even from a month old, she has to be rocked to sleep, which can sometimes take up to an hour... and the once she's asleep whether its day or night she wont go any longer than 40mins - 1 hour. She then wakes up screaming. She's also the lightest sleeper the smallest of movement or change on noise and her eyes beam open Shock . But even if theres no change of noise, no movement she still automatically never goes any longer than 1 hour. She's 6 months and will go 3x 20 minutes in a whole day because she just cant relax, but the whole time she is awake she moans and whinges, then she becomes overly tired and goes into inconsolable cries at night. Confused she's also breastfed and even when she feeds she cannot be soothed..... any ideas what this may be please? I'm desperate??? Sad

As well as this! Since she was about 4 weeks old her poo's changed consistency , they used to be runny seedy breastfed poo's but they became water consistency and they would sit like a bowl of water in her nappy... also every single one was explosive Blush

Crying when put down could be reflux; the nappies could be allergies. Have you tried going cold-turkey on dairy?

Were trying that now as we think she had allergic reaction to dairy yesterday. Im breastfeeding so im having to go dairy free. Could it be reflux though? She doesnt sick up?

Could be Silent reflux. They sick up a little bit but not enough for it to come out their mouth. Although they are still in pain and discomfort.

My eldest DS had this. He was the grumpiest baby. Cried constantly. At least he slept through from early on which was the only thing that kept me sane.

Generally reflux can be a symptom of something else like CMPA or intolerance to dairy. So if you haven't done so already, go dairy free.

@fatted brilliant thank you, i did consider if it could be reflux, shes so moody its getting pretty exhausting especially as she doesnt sleep settled at all. Were trialling dairy free from today as she had an allergic yesterday. But i was wondering if these symptoms may be a sign of dairy allergy and if it was that, if her behaviour and sleep may improve x

My daughter's mood and nappies improved when I went dairy-free. She still sleeps like shite though Grin

I have no advice but just wanted to say you are not alone! I could have written this post myself and I fully understand the stress of praying baby stays asleep once asleep!
My lo is 5 months and it feels like it will never end 😴

It’s so hard when they’re unhappy.

She’s not moody or a nightmare though, she’s in pain or uncomfortable and is telling you the only way she knows how.

If it is silent reflux she will need to go to the doctors for medication, mine had both reflux then silent reflux and from other posts I have read they can go hand in hand with allergies. Does she sleep better if help upright?
