Tips for holiday sleep?

Hi everyone
My DS (11 months), DH and I are currently on holiday in Mallorca. 3 days in and I'm seriously considering booking a flight home.

DS will not sleep in the travel cot, won't sleep in his pushchair and I'm completely losing the will. I keep seeing other families out on an evening with sleeping kids having some much needed down time and wondering where I'm going wrong!

We've got his blanket from home and his little teddy bear and other familiar stuff. First 2 nights we tried to settle him down in the room with no success until about 12 at night. Third night I must've walked 5 miles with him on the evening to finally get him off to sleep, then he woke up after 45 minutes.

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions? He's great at home - sleeps from 7 until 6.30 without any problems. Thanks in advance.

Aw sorry your having a rough time while on holiday sweet 😟
Is there any chance he could sleep in with you and hubs for the rest of the holiday?
Is it a mesh travel cot or wooden one?

Thanks so much for your reply NewMum26. Yeah last night we gave up and brought him into our bed. I'm worried about the precedent that sets but we were so desperate for some sleep! He's great during the day although he's obviously very tired.

It's a mesh cot and looks pretty comfortable to me. Very similar to the one we have at home. He sleeps out with his grandparents once a month and is absolutely fine. No idea why the change of scenery has affected him so much. X

I would just bring him into your bed. Needs must and all that! FWIW my DC would never sleep in the pram in the evenings while away so we just spent the evenings on the balcony.
