Safe upright sleeping?

Hoping someone can help with some advice about newborn DD's sleep.
She is 6 weeks old and picked up a cold 2 weeks ago from DS. She's been left with a congested nose that only seems to come on after her midnight feed, but it means she is getting distressed and struggling to go back to sleep.
She sleeps well if sitting upright, but I'm very conscious it's not safe to keep her sat up in the crook of my arm all night. I'm also bf and find she isn't great at sleeping on me because she roots for milk all the time. Her crib is propped up at the head end but it hasn't made a difference.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi, Calpol do a nose spray which you can use from birth, it turns mucus into a thin liquid so they can swallow it (gross, yes!) but it works. Also a hot bowl of water with some drops of baby Alba’s will help too and snuggle babe which is the same a vics for babies. I hope she gets better soon.

I think at that age we had a saline liquid we squirted up his nose. It felt like torturing him but worked.

Snuffle babes worked a treat on my little one. Little bit rubbed onto her feet. Nasal sucker for any little bits of snot too. Hope she feels better soon.

I let my little one sleep in her bouncer when this happened, I did also sit up with her for a few nights but had her in a sling. Although I am not recommending them as safe, it's just what I had to do.
Try some breast milk up her nose as well

Thank you all, so helpful. Have got the saline drops. Will try all suggestions.
