My 2 months old DD has been quite fussy these past 2 days, being very tired but not being able to sleep.
She has been having really light sleep where she wakes up very easily.
She has been awake for 3-4 hours and have finally gone to sleep.

Because she is so tired sometime she sleeps for ages. Do you allow her to sleep until she wakes up by herself or should i stick with not going over the 3 hours?

At 2 weeks I would waken her, at 2 months I wouldn’t. If her sleep pattern has been different over the last few days, she may just be needing to catch up with herself. Obviously keep a close eye on her while she’s asleep, and if there’s anything worrying you, if she develops a temperature etc, then deal with that appropriately.

I had a similar experience with my dd at about 3 months, when she ended up sleeping for 14 hours solid-I was at her nose with a mirror making sure she was still breathing etc, she had just needed a marathon sleep!

14 hours?? I would also be looking very closely.
Question: you mentioned to keep an eye for fever. Could her behaviour mean that she is sick? She had her first immunisations 5 days ago, she had a bit of fever the next day but she had been fine since then.

My DD is 2 months and just had her jabs too.
Shes more tired than ever but can also be hard to get to sleep!
She had a fever the next day and has diarrhea and also taking less milk at each feed.
Her nightime sleep has just gone back to normal after 3 nights x

I'm sure your daughter is fine. Babies often miss day time naps, especially if something interesting is going on!

Missing a nap will have no bearing on any other sleep time.
