9 month old just gone to sleep...

Good lord I am almost broken by this. DS2 is either up for hours in the evening like he's on speed, or goes down ok and then is up for hours in the middle of the night. Not grizzly, quite happy apart from if I try and put him back in his cot. No obvious teething signs.

I put him down between 7-7.30pm with his last bottle. Sometimes he goes but then is back up again after 30 mins. Or he's up and down every hour. He hardly naps during the day - hour total usually.

I actually prefer middle of the night wakings as then at least I've had an evening.

Help me! His brother slept like a baby Confused so I am new to this.

Have read about controlled crying but DS1 has additional needs and wakes easily. Tricky

Getting babies to sleep may as well be magic imo!!

Is he eating/drinking enough during the day?
What are his naps like?

I don't have magic answers I'm afraid. I have a 7 month old but we do let her cry for a short time which seems to work but obviously isn't a great option for your DS1.

Thanks Cookie. He naps for about 1 hour in two halves during the day. His brother slept loads during the day at that age and slept through the night.

There is no reasoning, I know.
he is so tired!

Frustrating.

Try not to stress (I know that's easier said than done).

Have you got a partner who can help you out?

Sorry posted to soon!

Being a parent is bloody hard and you just have to remember that you're doing a great job!

They go through phases and nothing you do changes their sleep or eating habits etc! They often just grow out if it!

🤞🏻🤞🏻for an improvement soon x

Thanks for the solidarity! DH is here but up at 5am for work so try and let him get sleep! Tried teething stuff last night and seemed to go better. He seems to be getting more teeth but with very different symptoms this time.

Parenthood 😑
