Dd has decided its far better to stya cuddling orplaying than going to bed the last 3 days. I know its do with her development and that shes learnt lots of new things , but Im going a bit mental with it tonight being allwahse out and stressy myself. I go in repeatedly to cuddle and sooth and then lay her straight back down saying its night night and mummys here etc, back to the pick up put down routine, which I havent needed to do for like 7 mths or so !!!! I know I have to bare with it and hope it will pass as she used to love going to bed. Im not advocate of cc , the longest Ill let her go is a couple of mins , as she ends up hyperventilating very quickly. I just need to let off stressy steam , arrrrrrgggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I assume this is also quite common at 1 years old ??

Oh dear - I had trouble with DS last night at about 11 when he woke & got hysterical as I wouldn't get into bed with him. Hes nearly 4 & is usually quite good. Think he's getting a cough though which may account for it. Take a deeeeeeeep breath !

definatly stick with the routine as your doing and when she realises that nothing will change she should settle back to normal. Good luck

You see, melsy, cuddles are so nice and your dd is just discovering how to get a few more in before bedtime ...

This kind of thing comes and goes all the time in my experience. Dd's had a phase of it at 7 months, 15 months and just recently at 22 months (now 23 months). All one can do is be consistent and try to always see how it is from their point of view as that's the only way to find a way to deal with what's happening without getting too sssssstttttttttrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeesssssssssseeeeddddddddddd
