Hi all, we are expecting our first baby on 1/8 and are looking to buy the Chicco Next2me crib. I've noticed that there are 3 models- the standard one, the dream and the elegance. I wonder if anyone has any experiences of any and if so, any recommendations? TIA Smile

I have the dream because I liked the flexibility of being able to put the side up very easily as and when I liked. It also creates a bit of a barrier between my bed and baby's. I don't have mine attached because I like to be able to move it down so I can get out of bed at times. In reality I have the side permanently down. We got ours secondhand so didn't pay a premium for this model. Only downside is that you can't have a flat surface across your bed and the crib if you just want to roll over to feed. We use a sleepyhead so this would be difficult to do anyway.

We've got the dream. We got this model simply as JL was price matching both the standard and the dream after Christmas but they were pretty much the same price so we opted for the newer model.

I'm glad we got this one as our baby had reflux when he was born and we were advised to tilt the crib by the midwife, which the dream can do whereas the standard one doesn't. I also like the fact that the side is more of a barrier between our bed and baby's bed, it just feels safer when we are sleeping. Tbh we are yet to fully utilise the crib as our baby doesn't like sleeping on his back due to the reflux so he doesn't stay in it all night so it's probs the least used purchase thus far, but he definitely stays in it longer than he would do otherwise because we can tilt it.
