3 month old ditching evening/4th nap!!

Hey!!

My little boy is actually 11 weeks. Were first time parents. We've managed to get him to sleep in his co sleeper after a bunch of chest sleeping and bedsharing (we were the problem I believe not the boy) recently our boy has started ditching his last nap of the day. He can sleep thru the night with one feed at either 1am or 3 am and sometimes wakes at 6am (but I try to keep down until 7am) bedtime is 7pm to 7:30.
This ditched nap is hiccup thou, he awake time stamina is an hour to an hour and half. But in the evening even thou he's grumbles, yawns, rubs eyes and sucks his fist he'll be awake for 2 hours until he screams and eventually goes down like a sack of spuds. By then it's 6:30 normally.
It's clear the 4th nap is going out the window but he hasn't got the stamina to go longer or to move to a 4 hour routine since his feeds are every 3 to 3 and a half hours apart.
To top it off ... We think he's teething. Drool galore! Hard gums and some suspicious white bump that looks like a canine tooth ...
I've read of bring his bedtime forward but he's already trying to wake up at 6am, I don't want to start the day at 5am!!! Oh and his naps are good from 30 mins to 2 hours with 4 to 5 hours in total a day.
Just wondering how to deal with this ditched nap!!! I've to build his awake time stamina but no luck and long naps are normally righted to his usual schedule with a cat nap later so no luck there either ... All I have left is an early bedtime unless there's another option?

Sounds really similar to my son at that age. He slept through after dropping his nap at 4pm a week later. 11 weeks is too little time to establish patterns, and starting the day at 5am, well, welcome to being a parent Grin

Is he wanting another feed? My lo still does this at 18 weeks (obviously different naptimes) it's usually cause she wants a little top up before sleep. Was hard to work out as she was giving no hunger cues!

He gets a top up at 7 to 7:30 at the beginning of his night routine, ( a routine that's been a blessing!)
As of tonight, the fella has ditched his nighttime cuddle!! Only dummy is needed to drop off at night! He could try a top up if that doesn't work I'll bring bedtime forward.
His feeds are pretty regular, his naps not so much.

I think at that age any pattern they get in to only lasts a week or two anyway. Then they hit a growth spurt or a set of jabs and their needs change again. I'd just go with whatever he needs.
