Mistake to reintroduce a night feed at 1 year?

DS started sleeping through at approx 4 months so no weaning him off night feeds, he just stopped

For the past 3 months he has been horrendous at night, and beside the general teething / cold patches, the only thing I can think is he may be hungry? I tried giving him more at his last feed but he doesn't finish it, but he guzzles his one in the morning.

Am I foolish? I just think I'd rather one 30mins or so wake up to feed him (ff) than every 40 mins or so

You could try but realistically this will just be another hurdle to overcome further down the line when you have to remove it. One year is still young to be expecting him to sleep through. I'm probably not the best to offer optimism, sorry. My 22mo still regularly wakes. Sad

Try to give him more food/milk during the day? Not only the final drink before bed. Alternatively, something he's eating might be disagreeing with him and giving him mild tummy ache, hence the frequent waking.

Is he teething

This. Don't do it. We made this mistake with DD1- they get to demand it every night, then wake another time for more milk.

Push grub down their neck at night like they are a goose and you want foie gras, then tough it out. Give a little cuddle if they are really crying, then back to bed asap. Of course that won't work with teething and there will be times you give in, but try not to make a rod for your own back.
