4 month sleep regression HELP !!!

So I'm 100% sure my LO is going through the dreaded regression. She used to go to sleep at 7pm wake up at 3am for a feed then sleep until 8am. And for the past week she's not going to sleep until 21.30 and up every 3/4 hours. Between the time she is awake she's crying in her sleeping and moving loads in the next to me cot. Her day time naps have pretty much stayed the same however this morning her usual hour nap lasted only 15 minutes 😓

Is it best to try and keep to our routine or try different things to help ?? I was thinking of trying a grobag as she kicks the sheets off herself.

Oh dear it's awful isn't it, mine went from a similar sleep patter you had to every 45 minutes!

A gro bag will help as will a decent consistent routine... and the aim to put baby down drowsy but awake so they fall asleep on their own (very tricky depending on the baby look at sleep training techniques you are comfortable with)

This is the age the babies become aware of waking through their sleep cycles so if they are rocked / fed to sleep when they awake they expect to still be in that place - hence them falling asleep on their own with minimal intervention should help. We went with gentl pick up put down methods.

Good luck and nap when they nap!

Also it was at this age I truly realised my baby could do an absolute maximum of two hours awake between naps, ideally 1.45 before I settled them for a nap. If I stick to that she goes down much much better at night time rather than being overtired

Nothing helpful I’m afraid, just wanted to share your pain. I’m relying on lots of coffee today - baby is currently napping (wish I was!)

She has always been able to go to sleep on her own ever since she was born. I could put her to bed fully awake and within 15 minutes she would be asleep however last night that didn't happen at all. Luckily we didn't have to rock her or feed her to sleep but it took her an hour to get to sleep. Moaned a little ( didn't cry) and eventually went off. I don't want to start rocking her or feeding her to sleep as she might expect this every time.

Shes currently fell back to sleep and without her dummy so I'm hoping she has a hour

I’m in it with you! My 15 week old dd is doing exactly the same. I’m struggling with her day time naps too at the moment, she’s just fighting sleep all the time and then is really over tired and grumpy by late afternoon. It’s tough!

I really hope it doesn't last much longer but I've got a feeling we've got a good couple of weeks of this! Plus my LO has got her 3rd immunisations on Monday 😭
